Kayak
With Orcas - Base Camp
Our
Kayak with Orcas base camp is just the adventure for those who want to
concentrate on kayaking with the Orcas while not having to set up or
take down camp. Our ecologically friendly camping site is located in the
heart of Orca territory yet completely off the beaten path and directly
across from the Robson Bight Ecological Reserve. This allows us to look
towards the reserve
without being hampered by the one Kilometer boundary that encompasses
the surrounding waters.
Vancouver
Island Marine Tour
Whisked up the Inside Passage from Quadra Island on a high speed, twin
engine catamaran water craft with closed cabin you ride in comfort and
enjoy the marine tour of a lifetime. This is only the beginning, in fact
just the ride to our remote Orca Base Camp off Vancouver Island in
Johnstone Strait.
No Sea
Kayaking Experience Required
You'll learn sea kayaking basics from our naturalist trained,
professional guides and before you know it be gliding across the water
in search of the star of our trip - The Orca Whale!
Incredible Wilderness Experience
Evenings are spent enjoying a fine meal and good company on our secluded
West facing beach watching the sun paint crimson sky portraits, as the
night sky blanket is pulled across. If you can imagine for a
moment, a
sky dotted to infinity with stars of all sizes shapes and configurations
stretching from the ocean surface in the west to high above your head as
you look up and disappearing into the tress behind. As you look deep
into the night sky the real depth of the universe is revealed - a sight
that can only be seen away
from
suburban or city lights like our remote wilderness beach. Yes you will
see many Orca whales on our Orca Base Camp, but you'll also see so much
more.

Every Day Brings Something New
Each day will begin with a hearty breakfast, and then you are off on
another adventure, all the while your guides are using our time tested
methods of creating whale sightings for you. Getting you to right
location at the right time is our specialty.
Lunches
are enjoyed on remote beaches soaking up the wild ambiance of a sun
flooded beach with cool shade at the forest edge.
